I got this pad for my mare who needs a bit more breathing room in the wither and spine, and what a difference! I could feel her back relax from the first time we rode in it, and now it's the only pad I use. I've tried going back to a thinline as an experiment and can really tell the difference in her comfort level.
My super sensitive mare absolutely LOVES this half pad! It has done wonders to help bring my horse back into work after suffering from the affects of a saddle that was pinching in the front. This pad allows her full range of motion in the shoulder and relieves any extra pressure around her withers, trapezius and the top of the scapula where she is extra sensitive. Not to mention the added security of the rubberized layering that keeps the pad exactly where it needs to be throughout the entire ride! Definitely my favorite purchase to date!
